Los Angeles – The Los Angeles Derby Dolls’ All Star team, The L.A. Ri-Ettes started their 2013 season with a triumphant win against The Bay Area Derby Girls just a couple weeks ago. The L.A. based all stars have bouted against some of the strongest and fastest derby skaters in the country and now they are now ready to hit the track again on February 9th, 2013 to take on Phoenix’s own Arizona Derby Dames’ All Stars, The Hot Shots. Taking the best players from all L.A. Derby Dolls home teams – Tough Cookies, Sirens, Varsity Brawlers and Fight Crew – The L.A. Ri-Ettes all star athletes plan show the crowd why The L.A. Derby Dolls are the team to beat. Will the Arizona Derby Dames: Hot Shots bring the heat to the track? Come join us at The Doll Factory, located in Historic Filipinotown, for an evening of hard hitting derby fun!
Games at The L.A. Derby Dolls’ home, The Doll Factory are open to all ages, but please note that all Saturday evening games are “PG-13” rated so parental guidance is suggested. Alcohol sales remain open for 21+ guests who will be issued an alcohol wristband at the door with a valid ID. Small personal cameras (pocket-size, point and shoot only) are now allowed into the Doll Factory, so come and take pictures of your favorite skaters or with them after the bout! Reminder: No photographers are allowed to shoot from the pink track-side walkways at any time. Any large DSLR type cameras that require a camera bag or have interchangeable lenses are strictly prohibited for personal fan use and will be not be allowed into the Doll Factory. All professional cameras and equipment will remain for press outlets only.
L.A. Derby Dolls events also offer a full range of entertainment off the track in the Vendor Village with live musical entertainment at halftime, vendors selling art, jewelry and clothes; food from Garage Pizza and a variety of other food trucks onsite; and various alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage choices. The L.A. Derby Dolls are proud to be sponsored by Jack Daniel’s and Pabst Blue Ribbon. JD ready-to-drink bottles, along with PBR beer and various wines will be served up by Alex’s Bar. Stila cosmetics will be at all games treating our fans to complimentary beauty products, and the S-One Helmet Company will be protecting our skaters. We are also very excited to also be sponsored by the DSALA - TwentyWonder fundraising event (http://www.twentywonder.org/) which will be returning to the Doll Factory this summer.

General Admission tickets are available for $18 online and $20 at the door. VIP tickets are $40 both online & at door. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and close at the end of half-time. Last year, the Sirens put an end to the Tough Cookies' winning streak by clinching the 2011 championship title, showing the world that the cops were in charge. The Sirens have spent the 2012 season undefeated and are sounding the alarms, vowing that victory will once again be theirs. Ready to put up a fight are the feisty Varsity Brawlers, raring to take the trophy in their championship debut. These incredible skaters have been training hard for this last battle of the year, proud to be on the final two teams standing on the track and with their eyes on the championship trophy. Will the Sirens leave the track with another champs title under their belt or will the Varsity Brawlers show their fans they are not to be messed with, claiming the number one spot for the very first time? General parking is available for $10 at Silver Lake Medical Center, 1711 West Temple (near the intersection of Temple and Union), one block east of the Doll Factory.
